THANKFUL DIY

It is DIY time! I found this DIY of pinterest, and I fell in love!

Also, how about this is the first pinterest DIY that actually
turned out super cute!

SUPPLIES







 I got this board from Wal-Mart for $15




 I bought a pack of colored cardstock, and found a feather template 
on google. You can find the one I found here
Cutting these out took the longest, so make time for them!


 I spray painted the bottom of all the feathers gold


 I also spray painted my letter stickers gold. 
While that was drying, I did a thin layer of white chalk paint
on my board. I wanted to make it look more rustic, but it would
also look super good with a thick layer.


 I then laid out my feathers backwards in the order that I wanted
them to be in. I put a small dot on the back, and attached them 
with a string. I also bent them to give them a 
more 3D effect.


I hot glued the left over string to the back of the board.


I then placed out THANKFUL where I wanted it and did 
two layers of modpodge over top to ensure that they 
would stay.

Hello! I haven't done any postpartum updates or anything like that since having Weston, but I thought it would be so fun to share with everyone what a typical day in the life of a new mom is like! Weston is almost 3 months old which is crazy! He sure does keep me busy and I am loving every second of it! 1:28 AM This is what time our morning started today! We do co-sleep, which there is lots of controversy about, but it has worked so well for us and I am so glad we have done it! I am getting a full nights sleep, and I love it! 3:39 AM I woke up  Westons next feeding. Our Car Accident.

For those who don't know, a couple months ago we were in a car accident! Let's start from the beginning! The last picture in mason.  RIP. It was May 23rd, 2016.  We were up at the outlet mall, but we weren't really finding anything. We decided that we were going to head back to Orem, to go to ULTA! As we were walking to the car, Joseph said that we should go to Cabelas, and of course I didn't want to and threw a fit. (not really) I seriously feel like I win every little tiny argument we have! Joseph is just that good to me! Boy, do I sure wish we would have went to Cabelas instead. We were only like 10 minutes or so on the freeway, when we were side swiped by a semi truck.  I was to busy paying attention to my phone, but all the sudden I heard Joseph yelling! It was more of a controlled confused tone in his voice. Hello lovely people of the internet! Back when Weston was a newborn, I posted a blog post of all my favorite newborn products that I loved using and more importantly what were helpful in those first couple of months home.
